Gert Bikker, who is 48 years old, is Vice President for Research, Development and Technology Transfer of the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences. After studying Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, he worked from 1996 to 2001 first as a research assistant and then as the head of department of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the TU Braunschweig. In 2002, he gained his doctorate in engineering (Dr-.Ing.) at the TU Braunschweig. From 2001 to 2008 he worked as a founder and CEO of EXTESSY AG. Gert Bikker was appointed a professorship for Computer Architecture in the depatment of Computer Science/IT at the Ostfalia. He was the head of the department of Distributed Systems at the Faculty of Computer Science/IT. Since May 2014, he is Vice President for Research, Development and Technology Transfer of the Ostfalia.
