Automotive Trend Forum

This international science and economic congress focuses on the latest trends in automotive sales and marketing. The whole-day event is held at CongressPark Wolfsburg. Approximately 600 international Automotive Trend Forum participants in Wolfsburg come from business and science. Top experts from all over the world present the latest studies, examples of best-practice and offer solutions for your specific problems. All lectures on 19 November 2020 will be translated simultaneously. In addition to numerous managers from the Volkswagen Group, guests also include participants from other automotive manufacturers, the supply industry, the automotive trade, medium-sized businesses and importers. The science representatives are mainly professors, employees and students of the Ostfalia University or our partner universities abroad.

Greetings from Jürgen Stackmann

The demand for a transformation of mobility is more tangible today than ever before. Innovative products and completely new forms of mobility are created by technical progress and change the way we think and act. This is precisely what the future of mobility demands. It should inspire us and make us better users.

With a clear focus on sustainability and networking, the automotive industry assumes responsibility and actively shapes change. Today, electric cars are smart, suitable for everyday use and finally accessible. The signs are pointing to a change into a new era of mobility. Automotive sales play an important role here and are required to respond with great dynamism to questions that are crucial to success.

How do we inspire our customers with new, innovative products? Where does our understanding of mobility need to change? How will we reach our customers in the future? With which products and services will we open up new business areas? How are new and old competitors in the mobility sector to be assessed? What is the next milestone to strive for after mass e-mobility? Is autonomous driving still a dream of the future? Will private transport become a luxury good? What will the car of the future enable us to do and what role will it play in our everyday lives?

These and many other questions make me look forward to the Automotive Trend Forum 2020 on 13 & 14 May in Wolfsburg. As patron of the event, I look forward to a lively dialogue on the topic of “Mobility Changes”. Interactive workshops, expert contributions from top-class speakers and lively panel discussions with selected representatives from research, politics and business make the ATF 2020 a must for industry experts and mobility fans.

Greetings from Dr. Christian Dahlheim

Automotive companies are in the middle of a transformation process. New competitors are entering the market, new technologies are enabling new forms of mobility, and customer needs are changing, especially in the wake of digitalization. At the same time regulation and the demand for sustainable mobility is increasing.

The subject of the upcoming Automotive Trend Forum “Mobility Changes” is highly topical in 2020, as the transformation of our industry continues. Driving assistance systems are constantly developing and are available to us at a high level of maturity. Autonomous cars are dependent on networking with their environment. In New Mobility, we are no longer exclusively dealing with our product, the automobile, but with mobility in its entirety.

In addition to the product itself, the relationship between brand and customer is also changing. Automotive companies are addressing their customers directly and digitally. At the same time personal advice is still an essential point of contact to the customer. In the future successful automobile companies will be able to offer their customers a holistic and individual mobility package in which the car, but not necessarily its ownership, has its place.

The Automotive Trend Forum is a valuable opportunity to think outside the box and serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas between all stakeholders of New Mobility. As patron of the ATF 2020, I cordially invite you to discuss tomorrow’s mobility with us and I look forward to welcoming you in Wolfsburg on 13 & 14 May.

Dr.-Christian-Dahlheim
